EASIDictionary

EASIDictionary is an ocx control written in and for Visual Basic to add a 60,000 word dictionary to your program. You must be a programmer to use this control. If you don’t know what it is, then it probably will not be useful to you. The dictionary was created by downloading dozens of word lists from all over the Internet, merging the words, and running them through Microsoft Word to check their spelling. All that passed were included. The result is a non-copyrighted subset of Word’s dictionary. The control will check spelling, suggest the word you are looking for, create new special needs dictionaries and more.

Downloads

Right Click on each of the files below and save them. Both the ocx file and the dictionary must be saved to the system directory (probably c:\windows\system32). After the files are saved, the ocx must be registered using a command like Regsvr32 /s c:\Windows\System32\DictControl.ocx from the Run command. The math dictionary is optional, but if used, must also be placed in the system directory.
